He was originally trained in what is called “oil wrestling” in his homeland. He was originally billed simply as “The Turk.” He was first placed in a tag team with a Nigerian wrestler called Ali Bounyamin. The duo was fittingly named “Ebony and Ivory.” They had a few matches for the tag belts but were unsuccessful. Upon frustration with constantly losing these matches, The Turk called his partner a cannibal and the friendship was forever ruined. Turk, who had been viewed as a peaceful man and often used the slogan “peace at home, peace in the world,” shocked his fans with his racist behavior.

Over the next months, the Turk started embracing his Turkish roots more and more. This in turn alienated him from the fans that knew little of or did not appreciate Turkish culture. Turk often appeared on screen grooming his moustache. He appeared in numerous dark matches simply wrestling in his underwear (In Turkey, many villagers even go swimming in their underwear). But the highlight of this period was The Turk wanting to celebrate The Feast of Sacrifice right in the middle of the ring after a show. Turk simply butchered an innocent sheep despite the pleadings of the fans begging him not to do so. Many women and children were observed to be genuinely distraught by the whole event. Not long after, he even tried to have his son’s circumcision ceremony held in the ring, but this was luckily prevented by security.

Turk, now ever more distant from the fans, started a protest that would last many weeks. When he was announced for his matches, he would come out and then simply go and sit down with anyone willing to play backgammon with him. Having annoyed management as well as the fans, he was placed in a non-televised steel cage match with Goldberg. The idea was to teach the Turk a lesson, the old school way. Things got out of hand from the start with the Turk spitting non-stop on his opponent. Then to mock the idea of being placed in a steel cage, Turk arranged a friend to throw in a couple of chickens in the cage. Management was able to teach Turk a lesson a few weeks later when they arranged for Bret Hart to break his leg in a non-televised match.

After falling out with the WCW, The Turk headed to the World Wrestling Federation in late 2000. Things got off to a rocky start for him when he got in an alteration in the dressing room with Chyna, claiming that she was not actually a woman and going so far as to demand to see her fully naked. Chyna noted that Turk’s harassment continued for quite some time and that Turk constantly made Turkish gestures with his hand each time she passed by. Other female wrestlers aka divas also complained about Turk’s behavior, claiming that he constantly stared at them with his hand in his pocket. It was even alleged that he tried to kidnap a certain diva, but Turk later claimed that this was all a misunderstanding. The diva claimed that Turk had forced her in his yellow Mercedes and groped her as they were headed to an unknown destination. With no eyewitnesses, the case filed by the diva was dropped. The same diva disappeared a few days later and was never heard of again. Turk was questioned, but the investigation led nowhere. It is unknown whether the Turk killed her, raped her, or both.

The Turk became an even greater pain in the ass in the following days, coming up with the most ridiculous reasons not to wrestle. One time he even refused being in the same ring as Christian due to his name. Another thing that got on the wrestlers’ nerves was the fact that Turk constantly touched or kissed people. In Turkey it is normal for a man to kiss another from the cheek if they are close friends. This just wasn’t appreciated in the locker room though. This led to an altercation with the Undertaker, who is known to be the boss of the locker room. Turk, knowing that it pissed people off, started kissing a few wrestlers backstage until eventually his teeth were bashed in by the Undertaker. Management had had enough of the Turk and his contract was terminated shortly after. Ironically, Turk died a year to the day his contract was terminated. Although the death was originally announced as a heart attack, statements given later on revealed that the Turk consumed a huge volume of the Turkish drink “Raki” and was having an orgy with underage black girls from the ghetto. Turk was quite perverted and he liked his women very young and very filthy. It is unknown whether or not Turk had also snorted cocaine on the night he died, but traces of cocaine were definitely found inside his anus, as well as a drumstick.
